FAQ

What is the best build in Divine Frequency?
There is no verified min-max ranking. Reload Magazine's pre-EA hands-on describes Wits as recommended and most balanced—that is one media source from February 2025, not patch notes. Treat it as an opinion and confirm feel in your own Early Access run.
Should I pick Wits, Strength, or Physique first?
Steam lists three primary archetypes plus weapon modifications; Reload frames class choice as difficulty (Wits balanced, Physique hardest). Strength's demo start label is Low Vibration—see the dedicated Strength page for 2026-06-22 rework notes. Pick based on playstyle, not invented tier lists.
Does Wits have exclusive duel mechanics?
A November 2023 demo patch note says Wits gets stronger Parry Window visual feedback in Duels, described as Wits exclusive. Duels are optional arena fights with Meso-Divinities per the store. Confirm parry behavior in the current Early Access build—demo-era notes may have changed.
What does Physique do in Divine Frequency?
Reload Magazine describes Physique as mad biology—examples cited include skin folds for inventory and muscle fibers for max health—and calls it the hardest challenge in their preview. Project Lead Genghis Khan also referenced a chaotic vibration start path in a demo-era reply about Ascendant armor. That is not a full skill list.
Are perk trees and stat numbers documented?
No. Our fact library has no verified list of named perks, skill trees, level caps, or numeric stat tables for any archetype. EA includes most character level progression per the store FAQ, but public text does not expose the full trees.

Which Divine Frequency build should you pick: Wits, Strength, or Physique?

In Divine Frequency by Abraxaes, Wits, Strength, and Physique are the game’s three primary character archetypes (also called Stats on the store page)—not attributes from other RPGs that happen to share the word “Wits.” You choose one at the start; the Steam listing says that choice, together with weapon modifications, affects challenges and discoveries. This page is an orientation guide: what sources actually say, what they do not, and where demo-era notes need confirm in the current Early Access build checks. It is not a min-max guide—there are no verified perk trees, stat numbers, or official “best build” rankings in the sources we reviewed on 2026-10-28.

How do the three archetypes compare on paper?

The table below maps only documented claims. The “unknown” column is intentional—gaps beat guesswork.

Archetype What the sources say Source & confidence What is unknown
Wits Described as recommended / most balanced in a hands-on preview; demo patch notes mention stronger Parry Window visual feedback in Duels, labeled Wits exclusive Reload Magazine (single-source media, Feb 2025, older than EA); Steam demo patch 2023-11-07 (pre-EA) Full Wits perk list, numeric bonuses, any “scanner”-style passive named in official text
Strength Biomechanical body, mind–machine integration (Reload); start path labeled Low Vibration (Strength) in the 2026-06-22 last demo patch; melee-focused rework details on the Strength / Low Vibration guide Reload (single-source, pre-EA); Steam announcement 2026-06-22 (pre-EA patch); Project Lead reply 2024-08-18 on sustain Strength perk list, fist/melee weapon names, damage numbers, upgrade paths
Physique Mad biology—Reload cites examples like skin folds for inventory and muscle fibers for max health; called the hardest challenge in that preview; Project Lead reply mentions picking chaotic vibration at the start (ties to Ascendant Champion armor tips) Reload (single-source, pre-EA); Steam dev reply (verified-official, demo-era thread) Official in-game Physique ability names beyond community framing; third start-path label if any

Reload Magazine also frames class choice as difficulty: Wits as balanced, Physique as hardest—again one pre-EA media source, not a Steam guarantee.

Is Wits the best first-run pick?

The only source that ranks a “recommended” start in our library is Reload Magazine’s February 2025 article, which calls Wits the most balanced option. That article predates Early Access (October 26, 2026) and names an outdated publisher identity in places—use it as opinion, not law.

If you want the path with the most documented duel nuance, demo patch notes credit Wits with clearer Parry Window feedback during Duels—optional arena fights against Meso-Divinities that demand timing and execution, per the store. Whether that parry edge still feels decisive in EA is for you to verify in-game.

What about Strength and Physique for new players?

Strength players who want documented mechanics should read Low Vibration (Strength) for the 2026-06-22 rework summary (melee loop, retaliation after block, duel melee rules)—all pre-EA patch wording, numbers included.

Physique is the archetype Reload labels hardest, with the wildest body-mod flavor text. A Project Lead reply in a demo-era Steam thread suggests chaotic vibration (Physique start framing) as one way to handle Ascendant Champion armor—see the boss page for the full quote and limits. One community thread also discusses Wits demo presentation as a “dream” avatar read; treat that as player interpretation, not official lore.

What is not documented yet?

Public sources reviewed on 2026-10-28 do not provide:

  • Named perk or skill tree lists for any archetype
  • Level caps, base stats, or damage formulas
  • A complete table of weapon modification names (mods exist per the store; names are not listed)
  • Verified psionic ability names, costs, or cooldowns
  • Official ranking of which build “wins” Early Access

Early Access includes most character level progression and all weapons and modifications per the FAQ, but that scope statement is not a build guide. For ~4–6 hours of EA content and act coverage, see how long to beat. For purchase framing, see is Divine Frequency worth it.

What does the in-game attribute panel show?

An official Steam store screenshot #8 (official) shows the inventory Attribute panel on a LEVEL 1 Avatar: Acolyte row with Strength 0, Wits 1, Physique 0, plus Exaltation 0, Mutation 0, and Attunement 0/2. Build not stated in that marketing capture—it may not match your start after patches. Treat it as UI evidence, not a verified min-max sheet; full definitions of Exaltation, Mutation, and Attunement are not in the public text we reviewed. For tab layout, meters, and HUD labels beside those stats, see HUD and inventory explained.
